SALT AIR BROADCASTING & CCB MEDIA
ADVERTISER FAQ
A message to advertisers.
Salt Air Broadcasting is acquiring CCB Media, bringing together some of Cape Cod’s best-known radio stations and digital media properties under local ownership. This page is designed to answer questions from CCB Media advertisers about the transition to Salt Air Broadcasting, including advertising contracts, billing, radio campaigns, digital advertising, CapeCod.com, and what businesses can expect as the transaction moves forward. Our goal is simple: make the transition seamless for advertisers while continuing to provide the local service, audience reach, and marketing solutions Cape Cod businesses depend on.
Our driving philosophy is simple: Local, local, local. We believe deeply in the power of Cape Cod radio and digital media, and our primary goal is to provide local businesses like yours with the most effective, engaged platform to reach loyal listeners.
What This Means for Your Business
We are making significant investments to improve both the listener and advertiser experience across our portfolio of stations (99.9 WQRC, 103.9 WKPE, 104.7 WOCN, and WGTX 102.3 FM, 106.5 FM, and 1240 AM), a classical HD channel operating under a non-profit model.
Limited Commercial Interruptions: We are strictly capping commercial breaks to just two per hour across all stations. Less advertising clutter means higher listener retention, giving your message maximum impact and higher recall.
Enhanced Digital Integration: In the coming months, we will be revamping CapeCod.com into the ultimate digital hub for local news, dining, events, and tourism, offering you powerful new ways to connect with audiences online.
Sales Continuity: CCB’s existing sales team will have the opportunity to continue with Salt Air Broadcasting in the same positions, so you can keep working with the familiar account executives you already know and trust.
Our official broadcast transition takes place on November, 30. 2026. To help answer any immediate questions about your account, rate commitments, or station lineups, see the FAQ below.
Between now and November 30, your current campaigns will continue without interruption. The CCB team will reach out, and I look forward to meeting with you soon to discuss how we can help elevate your brand heading into the holiday season and beyond.
Thank you for your continued partnership and for being a vital part of the Cape Cod community. I am thrilled to work with you!

Together, these properties will give Salt Air Broadcasting a broad local media platform that combines Cape Cod radio, digital advertising, local news, entertainment, and online media.
Salt Air Broadcasting is a locally owned Cape Cod media company focused on connecting local businesses with the audiences they want to reach. Salt Air currently operates WGTX Cape Cod’s X and is expanding through the acquisition of CCB Media’s radio stations and CapeCod.com. The combined company will bring radio, digital advertising, video, streaming, and online media together to serve Cape Cod businesses and communities. Salt Air Broadcasting is building for the future of local media while remaining focused on something that has always mattered: local people serving local businesses and local communities. For advertisers, that means access to a growing range of marketing tools backed by a team that understands Cape Cod.
Existing CCB Media advertisers should expect continuity during the transition to Salt Air Broadcasting. Current advertising agreements, rates, and schedules will continue to be handled according to their existing terms unless an advertiser is contacted directly about a change. As Salt Air Broadcasting brings its radio and digital properties together, advertisers will also have opportunities to explore expanded campaigns across multiple Cape Cod radio stations, digital advertising, video, streaming, and online media. If you have questions about your current advertising agreement or campaign, your existing CCB Media sales representative remains your best point of contact during the transition.
Salt Air Broadcasting intends to offer the existing CCB Media sales team the opportunity to continue with Salt Air Broadcasting following the transition. Our goal is to preserve the relationships and local knowledge that CCB Media advertisers have come to rely on. Because employment decisions are ultimately made by both the company and each individual, we cannot guarantee that every sales representative will choose to join Salt Air Broadcasting. If your representative changes, we will connect you with a Salt Air Broadcasting representative who can become familiar with your business, advertising history, and current campaigns. Our priority is to make the transition as seamless as possible for every advertiser.
Salt Air Broadcasting believes strongly in local radio and the connection Cape Cod’s stations have with their listeners, advertisers, and communities. Our goal is to build on that foundation while investing in the stations’ future. We have no immediate changes planned to our station frequencies or formats, but as we invest in improving your listening experience, we look forward to evolving and growing with our Cape Cod community. Our commitment to locally focused radio serving Cape Cod will not change.
If a station’s frequency or format changes, our account team will work with you to transition your campaign seamlessly with zero loss in reach. Additionally, for format changes, you will receive your current ad flight plus a bonus matching flight on another station in our portfolio—effectively doubling your ad exposure at no extra cost.
Capping ad breaks to just two per hour drastically reduces commercial clutter. While available ad inventory becomes more selective, ad recall and listener retention increase significantly, delivering higher ROI per spot.
No, there will be no changes—our team will seamlessly continue managing all of your SEM, social, and banner ad campaigns without interruption.
Commercial creative and production services remain fully supported in-house. The team will handle scriptwriting and access a diverse pool of professional voice talent to record spots.
Invoices issued after November 30, 2026, will come directly from Salt Air Broadcasting (headquartered in Brewster, MA). The sales team will provide updated billing addresses and payment information ahead of the transition date.
No, you won’t need to reapply—your existing account and credit terms will transfer seamlessly, with no new paperwork required.
Your existing contract terms remain in full effect, so any standard cancellation provisions in your agreement will continue to apply.
Existing advertising campaigns are expected to continue through the transition with minimal disruption. Salt Air Broadcasting’s goal is to provide continuity for advertisers while the CCB Media properties transition to Salt Air ownership. Current radio schedules, digital campaigns, and other advertising services will continue to be managed according to their existing agreements. Over time, Salt Air Broadcasting plans to expand the opportunities available to advertisers by combining radio, digital advertising, video, streaming, and online media into integrated local marketing campaigns. You should not need to start over simply because ownership is changing.
There will be no changes. Your digital advertising and newsletter placements will continue seamlessly as planned.
Yes, absolutely! Supporting the Cape Cod community remains our top priority, so we will continue broadcasting Public Service Announcements and airing our public affairs programming, including Sunday Journal.
